Vancouver’s Donnelly Group has appointed Alvin Pillay as the new development chef for its group of restaurants, which include public houses, cocktail taverns and nightclubs.
He previously worked as the chef de cuisine at the Vancouver-based Campagnolo Restaurant, which won the award for Conde Nast’s Top 50 New Restaurants for 2009 and Vancouver magazine’s Best New Restaurant in 2010.
Pillay will work with executive chef Michael Knowlson to incorporate seasonal and healthy items onto the company’s pub menus. He will also conduct cook and chef training.
The Donnelly Group owns many restaurants, including Republic, Clough Club, Granville Room, The Bimini Public House and more.
