EDMONTON — An Edmonton-based diner operator recently discovered her restaurant had been listed on the DoorDash mobile-ordering and delivery service without her knowledge or consent, according to The Star Edmonton.
Pamela Charlet, co-owner of Hathaway’s Diner, notes she and her partner had made the conscious decision not to offer delivery at the restaurant due to its small size, turning down other mobile-ordering and delivery services such as Skip the Dishes.
Other popular Edmonton restaurants, including LovePizza and Prairie Noodle Shop, have also noted similar experiences with DoorDash.
In a statement, a DoorDash spokesperson indicated restaurants that do not wish to be featured on the platform are removed upon request.
