TORONTO — The 5700 Inc. — known for the international Vegan Food & Drink Festival, The Imperative vegan retail-concept store and Doomie’s — has partnered with award-winning chef Doug McNish on its third Toronto storefront.
Mythology Diner will redefine the traditional diner experience by veganizing menu classics such as Reuben sandwiches, Salisbury steak, fish and chips, Cobb salad, cinnamon bun pancakes, fettuccine Alfredo and root-beer floats. The location will also feature local craft brews, wine and handcrafted cocktails developed by an in-house mixologist.
The 36-seat space boasts an elevated dining experience and showcases iconic art, such as Michelangelo’s ‘The Creation of Adam’ veganized and a wall-to-ceiling Andy Warhol-inspired vegan selfie room.
Mythology Diner will be open to the public for dinner service (5 p.m. to 12 a.m.) starting December 1. Lunch service will begin on December 18 and the highly anticipated brunch service will begin on New Year’s Day.
