TORONTO — Toronto’s Drake Hotel is sharing some new information about the opening of its stand-alone restaurant this summer.

“We’re thrilled,” said Jeff Stober, CEO, Drake Hotel Properties. “Drake has always shown a genuine commitment to its food and beverage offerings — consistently a source of deep pride for us.”

Opening at 150 York St., Drake One Fifty’s contemporary-meets-classic look will seat 175 and feature a bar, general store, curated art and a patio.

Executive chef Ted Corrado, recently hired to helm Drake’s food program, will direct the kitchen. “I am thrilled to embark on this new adventure,” said Corrado. Comfort classics and signature items from the original Drake menu will be offered complemented by the Drake’s cocktail list. “Our new venture allows us to showcase our food and cocktail program as the headline act, with all the usual Drake cultural offerings backing it up,” said Stober.

British designer Martin Brudnizki led the Drake design and construction team, while drawing inspiration from historic brasseries and taverns.
