HALIFAX — Local entrepreneur Jennie Dobbs, along with her award-winning winemaker partner Simon Rafuse, have opened the doors to their first retail outlet in West Bedford in Halifax next to their Morris East restaurant location.
The store features their range of Drink Sprizzi RTD beverages in two cider flavours (Blackberry Peach and Strawberry Rhubard); four vodka spritz flavours (Limonata, Tropical Limonata, Rose Limonata and Berry Limonata); and their custom Gin Fizz Lemonade created in partnership with the Halifax Wanderers. Customers can enjoy a tasting flight of their range of drinks.
The store also features a grab-and-go section of Morris East pizza kits, homemade pasta and sauces, and fresh sandwiches and salads.
“This is among the fastest growing neighbourhoods in Canada,” says Dobbs. “We know from our customers that they love the concept of easy dinner prep, but eating well. Particularly for busy families, this is a one-stop shop where they can bring their favourite beverages, pizzas and pastas home with them.”
Dobbs also intends for the space to be used for local events, including parties, tastings, social meet ups and more. The store will also be the production site of curated aperitivio gift boxes, an offering that’ll ramp up over the next several months.
