MONTREAL — Toronto’s Edulis restaurant has won favour, topping En Route magazine’s 2012 list of Canada’s Best New Restaurants.

Food journalist Sarah Musgrave called Edulis “the make-it-look-easy restaurant of the year. Refreshingly more show than tell, it does barn to table without the fuss. It’s above all not self-conscious … nor should you be when you come back for more.”

Toronto’s culinary scene was highlighted this year, scoring six spots out of the top 10. Following Edulis, the list’s top 10 restaurants were Model Milk in Calgary, Ursa in Toronto, Acadia in Toronto, Pastaga in Montreal, Hopgood’s Foodliner in Toronto, Grand Electric in Toronto, Keriwa Café in Toronto, Borgo in Calgary and Nora Gray in Montreal.
