MONTREAL — The EnRoute magazine team has announced Canada’s Best New Restaurants of 2011.
The top honour was bestowed on Raymonds from St John’s, N.L., followed by Hawksworth in Vancouver, L’sAbattoir in Vancouver, Les 400 coups in Montreal and Ici Bistro in Toronto.
Rounding out the top 10 were Van Horne in Montreal, Campagnolo Toronto, Le Comptoir charcuteries et vins in Montreal, Ulla in Victoria and Corso 32 in Edmonton.
The EnRoute list is chosen based on new restaurants that advance the Canadian culinary identity — places where the overall dining experience has a lasting and significant impact on Canadian restaurant culture.
