B.C. Seafood Festival

The 12th-annual B.C. Seafood Festival will feature expanded programming, including a lineup of international culinary celebrities.
The 10-day celebration — held in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, B.C. — will take place from June 8 to 17. Further details about the festival and its satellite events can be found at bcseafoodfestival.com.
For 2018, the festival’s “Signature Weekend” has been extended to three days and will feature new events and celebrations, including celebrity-chef demonstrations; shellfish and seafood tastings; and interactive and educational displays. Additionally, a number of competitions will be featured, such as the Fanny Bay Oyster-Shucking Competition and the OceanWise Chowder Challenge.
The event will also feature a group of celebrity chefs, including those from the U.S. and abroad, as well as local and Canadian chefs, and members of Culinary Team B.C.
Notable chefs to be featured at the event include Pino Posteraro (Cioppinos), Ned Bell (OceanWise), Melissa Craig (Bearfood Bistro), Andrea Carlson (Burdock & Co.), Mark Best (Marque, Bistro by Mark Best) and Scott Schneider (Langham Hotel New York’s Ali Fiori).
