VANCOUVER — A handful of bar and pub owners in B.C. are considering the idea of hiring strippers to drum up business, according to Vancouver’s Province newspaper.
“Sales are down drastically, and we’re looking for a change,” Dale Stephenson, the owner of Ma Miller’s Pub on Sooke Lake Road in Langford, was quoted as saying by the The Province.
Pubs in the Nanaimo and Nanoose Bay area on Vancouver Island, Prince George and Kelowna, are considering similar changes, according to the paper.
This news comes after record-low sales due to a poor economy and tough anti-drinking and driving laws that are making it difficult for bars to remain open.
