Experts Name Top Whiskies at Canadian Whisky Awards

OTTAWA —Crown Royal Nobel Collection Winter Wheat has been named Canada’s Best Whisky and Canadian Whisky of the Year by nine whisky experts at the 12th annual Canadian Whisky Awards. More than 150 Canadian whiskies were tasted.

Crown Royal also garnered top honours for Best Blended Whisky and Sippin’ Whisky of the Year. “This is a truly stunning whisky,” says David Kergommeaux, head judge and founder of the Canadian Whisky Awards. “Incredibly complex, flavourful and well-balanced.”

Other winners included Pendleton Director’s Reserve for Connoisseur Whisky of the Year in the multi-market category; J.P. Wiser’s Red Letter for Connoisseur Whisky of the Year in Canada and Best Line Extension; Royal Canadian Small Batch for 2022’s Sippin Whisky of the Year – Export Exclusive and more.
