TORONTO — Extreme Pita is now making its product available on grocery-store shelves with the launch of its first retail product, Ancient Grains Flatwrapz.
“Canadians depend on the Extreme Pita brand to provide them with a healthy meal alternative,” says Alex Rechichi, CEO and president, Extreme Brandz.
“We’re excited to provide our customers with the same high-quality and healthy pita bread they expect from our restaurant but now in a convenient package they can enjoy at home.”
Made with hulled millet, barley and buckwheat, the flatbread is available for sale at 15 Costco locations across Ontario — for $3.99 to $4.99 — over the next two weeks. Additional retail products such as snacks and falafel are also in the works.
Meanwhile, parent company Extreme Brandz has announced the opening of a new Mucho Burrito location in Sherwood Park, Alta.
