TORONTO – The folks at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts opened three new international properties at the end of September. The new hotels are located in Nile City, Cairo, Egypt; Yangcheng Lake in Kunshan, China and Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Built within the prestigious Nile City corporate complex, the 567-room Fairmont Nile City is positioned for conferences and large events. It offers more than 11,000 sq. ft. of indoor space and 5,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space for meetings and conventions. At 22,000 sq. ft., the hotel also features the largest spa in Cairo.
The Yangcheng Lake property in Kunshan, China boasts 200 deluxe guest rooms and suites, while the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, is Fairmont’s first property to open in the capital of UAE, on the Abu Dhabi Creek.
Fairmont Hotels has more than 20 new properties in development and plans to open additional units in Makkah, Jaipur and in Shanghai in 2010.
