TORONTO — The Famous Laffa franchise is expanding rapidly, with new locations in the Greater Toronto Area.
New units include Famous Laffa Kosher at Bathurst St. and Lawrence Ave., Famous Laffa Restaurants at Yonge St. and Steeles Ave., and a soon-to-open Famous Laffa Kosher at Promenade Mall in Thornhill, Ont. “Our mission is to provide great tasting healthy food, with fast, friendly service to boot and our food has never been better,” says Joel Friedman, president of JSF Franchising Group Inc. in Toronto, which also develops brands such as Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery and B Espresso Bar Café. Friedman is looking to grow the Famous Laffa brand in Ontario before exploring opportunities out West.
Famous Laffa is a Middle Eastern-style chain that was founded by Ronen Ifraimov. The units, which can also be positioned as a Kosher or Halal format, serve soups and hummus dishes, falafel, kababs, shawarma and beverages such as Turkish coffee.
