LOS ANGELES — FAT Brands Inc. has announced the opening of the company’s 53rd Canadian location in South Surrey, B.C.’s Grandview Central Shopping Centre — a 2,000-sq.-ft. co-branded Fatbuger and Buffalo’s Express restaurant.

“Surpassing 50 restaurants in the Canadian market is a major feat for our company” says Andy Wiederhorn, CEO, FAT Brands. “We are grateful to have partnered with FDF Restaurant Brandz 12 years ago to strategically develop the Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express brands across Canada, and are confident our latest location will be well received by locals in the bustling Grandview Central Shopping Centre.”

The Grandview Central restaurant will be owned by existing franchisee Ravi Sidhu, who opened her first Fatburger location in Ladner, B.C. in 2016.

“The opening of our 53rd restaurant comes at a busy and exciting time for our company, as we plan to develop five to 10 more locations in 2018,” says Frank Di Benedetto, CEO, president and owner of the FDF Restaurant Brandz franchise system, which includes the Fatburger Canada chain. “We are delighted to have Ravi as our newest franchisee with her customer service-oriented approach to management, and are confident her unbridled enthusiasm and passion for Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express will translate into success.”

FAT Brands currently boasts Canadian locations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories.
