LONDON, Ont. — Firehouse Subs has opened its second Canadian location in London, Ont. The Florida-based brand made its entry into Canada last October with the opening of a location on Oshawa, Ont.
OnFire Restaurant Group — the franchise group leading Firehouse Subs’ Canadian brand expansion — is slated to open 90 Firehouse Subs restaurants in Ontario over the next 10 years. Locations in Kitchener, Whitby, Guelph and Oakville are already under development. According to the London Free Press, there are also plans for two more locations in London.
Firehouse Subs restaurants offer fast-casual dining in a family-oriented atmosphere with a firefighter theme. The menu offers a selection of steamed sandwiches including the New York Steamer featuring corned beef brisket, pastrami, provolone, deli mustard, mayo and Italian dressing ($8.49 for a medium).
