CALGARY — The Popular U.S. chain IHOP — which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but specializes in pancakes and waffles — has opened its first location in Calgary.

“In a vibrant, thriving city like Calgary, it took a while for the perfect location to become available,” said Paul Wolsey, owner of the Calgary location as quoted by GlobalTVCalgary.

“Now that we’ve found it, we’re looking forward to being an involved and active part of the community and serving the people of Calgary for many years to come.”

The new restaurant is located at 70 Shawville Blvd., in the Shawnessy Town Centre and seats 220 people.

IHOP has 20 locations in Canada, including 13 restaurants in B.C., four in Ontario and three in Alberta.
