TORONTO — Flanagan Foodservice hosted its 27th annual We Care Golf Tournament at the Foxwood Golf and Country Club in Baden, Ont. on June 5, where 240 golfers participated in the annual tournament to raise $51,000 for Friends of We Care.

Over the years, the Kitchener, Ont.-based distributor has raised more than $1 million to benefit the foundation that sends children with physical disabilities to Easter Seals camps. “By participating in this event, everyone has paid it forward in their life and helped improve the lives of our We Care kids,” says Jim Grieb, tournament organizer and VP of Purchasing for Flanagan Foodservice.

“The true dedication and support the Flanagan family and all their team members provide has been a large factor as to why Friends of We Care continues to be so successful,” says Kevin Collins, executive director of Friends of We Care, which is gearing up to host its annual We Care Camp Day on July 15 at Camp Woodeden in London, Ont.
