A total of 38,972 people attended the show, enjoying a huge variety of food and beverage samples and taking in a full schedule of cooking demos. This year’s attendance figure was up 26 per cent over last year.
Plans to increase the show-floor space have already been hatched in anticipation of next year’s event, which is slated for the weekend of June 10 to 12 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
But the good news for B.C. food fanatics is that they don’t have to wait until next year to relive the experience — the EAT! Fraser Valley Food + Cooking Festival is slated for Sept. 17 to 19 at the Tradex Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford.
