BURNABY, B.C. — The 18th Annual British Columbia Food Technologists suppliers’ night is coming up on Feb. 29 at the Delta Hotel and Conference Centre in Burnaby, B.C.
The evening, organized by the B.C. Food Technologists (BCFT), is expected to include expert discussion on food analysis and sustainability. Four seminars are on the agenda, they are: “The Texture Revolution” talk about manipulating textures in food products to improve consumer acceptance; the “More Than Meets The Eye,” discussion on measuring food colour and colour technologies when developing a product; the “Starchology and Texture,” talk about chemistry and functional properties of various starches in food products; and the “Natural Extracts presentation about Food and Beverage Formulations,” which will cover the principles behind extracts and botanicals in food and beverage products.BCFT is a professional association of technologists committed to advancing food science and technology.
