TORONTO — Foodora has expanded into Ottawa, offering delivery from more than 50 restaurant partners.
“As Foodora continues to evolve and innovate, we’re looking to bring our memorable customer experience — both on and off the app — to more Canadian cities,” says David Albert, managing director, Foodora Canada. “Our latest market expansion to Ottawa means we can connect more Canadians with a variety of new and loved restaurants and cuisines — plus, we have some big things in store for Ottawa.”
The company also renewed its commitment to reduce plastic waste by launching a single-use plastic cutlery opt-out feature, which prompts customers at checkout to select if they require plastic cutlery with their food delivery. This opt-out initiative rolled out Canada-wide in early April 2019 and is part of Foodora’s broader sustainability efforts toward lessening its environmental impact.
Foodora also offers a corporate food-delivery feature that allows users to input of expense codes and invite employees, set budgets and keep track of orders placed with detailed reports. The feature also allows employees to create group orders and set up pre-orders for meetings or events.
