TORONTO — On July 23 Fancy Franks Gourmet Hot Dogs is hosting its third annual National Hot Dog Day in support of the Jays Care Foundation.
Each year the event has helped raise money through donations, drink and merchandise sales for notable causes.
“I’m excited about this year’s event,” says Angelos Economopoulos, owner of Fancy Franks Gourmet Hot Dogs. “We get to celebrate our love for hot dogs with our neighbourhood while donating to a great charity.”
As part of Fancy Franks’ National Hot Dog Day, the company will give away one free hot dog to every customer at the event. Dasani water, donated by Coca Cola Canada, will be available for $2 and all proceeds will go to Jays Care. Fancy Franks merchandise will be available on-site with partial funds going back to the charity.
To help raise additional funds, all Fancy Franks locations will have ticketed auctions available throughout the day. Auction items will be on display at 326 College St. W. and include an autographed Russell Martin jersey, four tickets to a Blue Jays regular season game at the Rogers Centre with the opportunity to attend batting practice on the field pre-game, and a $50 Jays Shop gift card.
