Furious Pete vs. Smoke’s Poutine

TORONTO — Furious Pete Czerwinski is preparing to face-off against 15lbs of poutine, courtesy of Smoke’s Poutinerie, in a bid to raise money for charity.

“This monster act of gluttony is to raise money for the MS Society of Canada,” writes Czerwinski on his website. “My Mother has MS and I see every day how tough it is to go through. Together we will find a cure.”

The professional competitive eater will down piles of hand-cut fries and curd topped with smoked bacon, chipotle pulled pork, Italian sausage, grilled chicken, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, chili, Montreal smoked meat, guacamole, green peas and extra gravy.

The stunt will take place Thursday, Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. on-air at the Toronto radio station 102.1 The Edge.
