TORONTO — The Garland Discovered Culinary Competition started its first round this week, with more than $5,000 in prizes up for grabs.

This black-box competition will feature four chefs going head-to-head to create an appetizer, entrée and dessert. The winner of each Monday-night competition will advance to compete in the live semi-finals and finals (16 chefs in total) on stage at the RC Show, taking place at the Enercare Centre in Toronto on March 1 to 3, 2020.

The Discovered Culinary Competition is open to all professional Canadian chefs employed in the hospitality and foodservice industry who are at least 19 years old.

The first round started November 11 and the list of finalists will be completed by February 1.
