TORONTO — Gay Lea has come up with a creative campaign aimed at salvaging toast and curbing hunger (yes, you read it right).
In accordance with ‘National Toast Day’ tomorrow Gay Lea is encouraging consumers to trade in cold, hard-to-spread butter for Gay Lea’s Spreadable Butter with Canola Oil.
The company is encouraging toast lovers to stand against the butchering of their favourite breakfast food by “sponsoring” a piece at savewithspreadables.com. In response to each pledge, a tub of Spreadable butter will be donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank. And, not to be left out, customers who sponsor a piece of toast will also receive a coupon for their own tub, too.
