George Brown Announces Interactive Nutrition Symposium

TORONTO — George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts is hosting the
Ambition Nutrition Symposium on May 26.

The event, themed “Bridging the Gap between Nutritional Science and Culinary Arts”, will bring together academic professionals, dietitians, culinary experts and industry leaders for an interactive day filled with discussions, workshops and presentations.  This symposium will focus on nutrition in theory and practice, examining the gaps and opportunities that exist between research, education, nutrition, diet and culinary arts.

Keynote speaker Michael Moss, Pulitzer-prize winning journalist and the author of “Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us” will be joined by industry experts including David S. Ludwig, Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian and Dr. Ahmed El-Sohemy.
