Clark joins the wine director Terry Threlfall and chef David Hawksworth — all with experience in the U.K. Clark was part of the opening team at Tom’s Kitchen in Chelsea, England, and has managed or consulted for Vancouver’s Lumière and Koko Restaurant + Bar at the Opus hotel Montreal, among others.
“I couldn’t have wished for anyone better to lead our service and operations and to help me get this restaurant open. Chad has an acute understanding of what it takes to open a high calibre restaurant; he has an incredible work ethic, is the ultimate professional and nothing seems to ruffle him,” said Hawksworth of the appointment.
Clark is equally excited. “I’m thrilled to be part of such an exciting opening and am fully committed to hiring and training a team of like-minded individuals that share our philosophies and goals,” says the new GM.
Hawksworth Restaurant is located inside the Rosewood Hotel Georgia Vancouver, which also opens this summer.
