OTTAWA — Calgary’s Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery chain is coming to Ontario, with the opening of a unit at the Ottawa International Airport this March.

The Calgary-based chain serves direct-trade, organic and fair-trade coffees, a wide selection of hand-crafted beverages, salads, sandwiches as well as vegetarian/vegan and special dietary options. The Good Earth brand has a strong focus on social and environmental responsibilities. Management uses 100-per-cent wind power to power their cafés, 100-per-cent recycled paper products and offers a coffee-grind compost program.
Good Earth operates in 43 locations throughout B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.
