TORONTO — The renowned Chicago-based brewery, Goose Island, is coming to Toronto, reports Torontoist.
The expansion marks the company’s first Canadian location, bringing the brewery’s core brands, such as Matilda, Sofie, Honkers Ale and Goose IPA to the Toronto market.
“While still early in the planning stages, we plan to open a Toronto brewpub to broaden our presence by serving more of Goose Island’s quality beers, along with seasonal specialties and some great food pairings,” says Ken Stout, president and general manager of Goose Island. “We’re excited to be expanding internationally with our destination brewpub and look forward to sharing more details as our plans take shape.”
The time-lines for construction and opening have yet to be announced.
