GUELPH, Ont. — Kudos are in order for the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) at the University of Guelph. Not only has the school been pumping out a long list of fine graduates for years, it has now been recognized in a new international study as the top hospitality and tourism program in Canada when it comes to research contributions.

Researchers at the University of Central Florida headed the study, which ranked the 100 best academic institutions based on their contributions to a selection of 11 top hospitality and tourism journals between 2002 and 2006. HTM at the University of Guelph, which is in its 40th year, ranked the highest of all Canadian universities, placing 21st on the list.

The study was published in the November issue of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research.
