BEIJING — Hainan Airlines launched its new “Restaurant on Board” service yesterday at the Grand Hyatt Beijing. The program brings together Michelin-starred chefs from around the world as well as leading Chinese chefs and gourmet food experts to provide passengers with gourmet airline cuisine.
During the event, Hainan Airlines previewed its new menu, designed exclusively for its passengers departing from Paris, Berlin and Brussels. The airline plans to launch more in-flight special and gourmet meals based on new international routes in the future. In addition to providing full support for the design and preparation of meals served on Hainan Airlines’ international routes, the chefs will be on board the flight and, while visiting with the passengers, will have them sample the foods as they share stories behind the research and development that went into the creation of the new meals.
