Hawksworth Welcomes Chef de Cuisine

VANCOUVER — Hawksworth Restaurant recently welcomed Kristian Eligh to the fold as chef de cuisine.

In his new role, Eligh will manage daily kitchen operations, oversee a staff of 25, and assist in menu development under the direction of chef David Hawksworth.

“The opportunity to work for David Hawksworth was a no-brainer,” said Eligh. “A true culinary visionary, he’s an amazing mentor/teacher.”

Edmonton-born Eligh’s culinary résumé includes chef de cuisine positions at Market by Jean-Georges at the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancvouer. He’s also worked in Chicago’s Blackbird restaurant, New York’s Spice Market and Charleston, S.C.’s McCrady’s.

Hawksworth Restaurant, David Hawksworth’s namesake resto located in Vancouver’s Rosewood Georgia Hotel, is set to open this month.
