Hog Tails Takes Over Lancaster Tavern

KITCHENER, Ont. — Fans of the Waterloo, Ont.-based Hog Tails BarBQue can soon enjoy their favourite pulled pork and beef brisket in the company’s new Kitchener offshoot, The Lancaster Smokehouse.

“This is a dream come true, and we are extremely excited to bring the Hog Tails brand to Kitchener in addition to operating our original Hog Tails location,” said Chris Corrigan, chef and owner, Hog Tails.

“We are currently planning the opening and the menu for The Lancaster Smokehouse.”

Formally The Lancaster Tavern, Corrigan is renovating the 600-seat eatery to include, a smokehouse, upgraded kitchen and bar, patio and banquet room, while maintaining the Tavern’s history.

The Smokehouse, which is slated to open in December, will include a menu of southern-style pulled pork, Louisiana po’boys and Texas beef brisket.
