SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened its first Holiday Inn Express in Squamish, B.C yesterday.
The 95-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Squamish is located 45 minutes away from Whistler and is easily accessible to Vancouver and the Sea to Sky Highway. It’s a short drive from tourist attractions such as Whistler Blackcomb Mountain, downtown Squamish and an array of golf courses and businesses.
The property showcases the new Holiday Inn Express logo, certifying that it meets the standards set during the $1-billion Holiday Inn brand re-launch program. First announced in 2007, the re-launch program was established to create a more contemporary brand image as part of the drive to increase quality and consistency across the global portfolio. The global estate of more than 3,300 Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties is expected to be re-launched by the end of 2010.
