MILFORD, Conn. — Subway is kicking off the new year by introducing a brand-new jalapeño cheese bread on Jan. 1, reports The Huffington Post.
“Everybody is crazy for big heat and big flavours,” Mark Christiano, Subway’s R&D baking specialist told The Huffington Post. Following the launch of its new creamy sriracha sauce last month, the company wanted to introduce another spicy option for its customers craving heat.
The spicy sandwich bun will be available for six to eight weeks following Jan. 1, with the possibility of becoming part of the chain’s permanent menu.
