MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Hosting nearly 1.5-million visitors each year, Mississauga, Ont.’s International Centre is squeezing in a $7-million renovation, of which phase one was recently completed.

“The International Centre has undergone a very exciting transformation, and we are thrilled to share it with our staff, clients and visitors,” said Michael Prescott, CEO, The International Centre. “Enhancing our client and visitor experience has always been our number-1 priority, and the revitalization of our facility will help our over 450 annual events continue to achieve success.”

The centre’s one-million sq. ft. of meeting space is receiving modern design elements that help enhance the experience for its clients and visitors. Its Hall 1 Lobby (pictured), and Connector Spaces, were redesigned by Brampton, Ont.-based Arch-Tech Design Group. The team worked to improve connectivity in and between spaces, such as increasing the number of complimentary Internet hotspots to four key areas, enhancing way-finding systems to help guide visitors through the centre. It also added LED lights to its exterior main entrance and hall signage.
