InterVin Honours Canadian Vino

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ont. — The InterVin International Wine Awards recently noted the best of the best in Canadian vino.

The award ceremony, held each year in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., is presented by the founders of Vines magazine and the producers of the annual Gourmet Food & Wine Expo. This year, Nova Scotia’s Blomidon Estate Winery emerged from the competition with four bronze medals; B.C.’s Burrowing Owl Estate Winery walked away with the gold for its cabernet franc, and Jordan, Ont.’s Calamus Estate Winery emerged from the competition with a silver medal for its dessert wine.
