OLIVER, B.C. — Bill and Darlene Freding are introducing Rafter F inaugural wines from their 47-acre Saddle Ridge Vineyard in Oliver, B.C.; they’re crafted by Michael Bartier of Okanagan Crush Pad.

The sustainably farmed vineyard was planted in 1998 with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Chardonnay.

The first wine release in the series includes 95 cases of Pinot Gris and 83 cases of Chardonnay. The family is expecting three red wines in the fall: a Syrah, a Cabernet Franc and a Cabernet Sauvignon.
