TORONTO — The sprawling 1891 Gooderham mansion on Jarvis Street in Toronto is the new home of Osteria dei Ganzi, an authentic Italian restaurant.

The 88-seat restaurant and 200-seat outdoor patio, offers casual regional Italian cuisine in a relaxed after-work aperitivo environment.

The owners kept the mansion’s stained-glass windows, brass fixtures and original wood detailing and added a restored dining room with solarium bar, complete with floating wine racks.

The restaurant offers traditional Italian fare, such as wood boards filled with DOP Italian cold cuts and imported cheeses, served with arancini ($15), classic pizzas, pasta, and fish, complemented by a wine list of Ontario and Italian wines, plus classic Italian cocktails.
