TORONTO — Michael Duggan, the owner and brewmaster of the yet-to-be-opened Duggan’s Brewery, to be located in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood, has told Canadian Beer News that Jamie Kennedy, will serve as its executive chef for the pub and brewery set to open this fall.
Kennedy, winner of the Governor General’s Award in Celebration of the Nation’s Table and member of the Order of Canada, also operates Gilead Café Wine Bar in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood and Windows in Niagara Falls.
Kennedy will reportedly oversee kitchen staffing and menu developing as well as share his “fresh and local” cooking practices. More details regarding the partnership are expected to be announced soon. [canadianbeernews.com]
