TORONTO ― Gilead Café & Wine Bar in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood is closing March 31. It has served as headquarters for Jamie Kennedy Kitchens since 2008, when Kennedy transformed the space into a restaurant and commissary kitchen for his catering operations.

A company issued-statement reads: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support of Gilead and their continued support of Jamie Kennedy Kitchens. Jamie Kennedy will continue to operate Jamie Kennedy Kitchens, seeking new opportunities connected to the wonderful network of people involved in local-food procurement practices throughout Canada.”

According to the Toronto Star, those new opportunities may comprise project-based work, including teaching or consulting.

The 4,000-sq.-ft. turnkey operation is for sale.
