TORONTO — Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is set to open its first Jollibee location in downtown Toronto, according to Daily Hive.

Based on job postings, the location is set to open at 335 Yonge St., next to Ryerson University — a space currently occupied by a seasonal pop-up market. Additional job postings also indicate plans to open more location in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), in North York and Thornhill.

The GTA currently boasts two Jollibee locations in Mississauga and Scarborough, which opened in July and April of last year, respectively.

In addition to these new Ontario locations, the brand is also set to open its first locations in Alberta — one in Calgary and one in Edmonton.

The Philippines-based chain — which opened its first Canadian location in Winnipeg in 2016 and currently boasts four locations in Canada — announced an aggressive North-American expansion plan last year, which includes opening 100 locations in Canada in the next five years.
