VANCOUVER — It’s onward and upward for Samnan Kamonroek who has been promoted to the position of executive chef at Vancouver’s Charm Modern Thai and Bar.
The chef has served as sous chef at the restaurant since 2008 when he immigrated to Canada from Bangkok where he worked his way up the ranks to become executive chef of the five-star hotel, The Landmark Bangkok.
Charm’s menu already features a few of Kamonroek’s dishes, including crispy basa fish cooked with bacon, mushroom and ginger as well as pan-seared salmon with Thai green curry linguine.
