KFC Center Welcomes New Technology

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It’s just been announced that Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center now employs Mircros Systems Inc.’s Simphony system.

Centerplate, a Stamford, Conn.-based hospitality company with 250 sports, entertainment and convention centre partners across the continent, chose a technological system that would “allow employees to focus on the guest experience, not on technology.” The Micros Simphony system includes venue-management equipment, a kitchen display system and various point-of-sale hardware. The venue will now also feature digital menu boards.

“Centerplate’s deployment of Micros Simphony in the KFC Yum! Center, the first installation of the system in the stadium and arena marketplace, is another example of the company’s commitment to enhancing the experience of our guests and the returns for our clients,” said Greg Lesperance, senior vice-president, CIO and CAO of Centerplate.
