TORONTO — Kit Kat Italian Bar & Grill on Toronto’s King Street West permanently closed in August after 31 years.
In an interview with the Toronto Sun, the restaurant’s owner, Al Carbone, cited challenges of safe distancing, as well as reliance on theatre-goers, guests from nearby hotels and downtown offices, as challenges that made re-opening unviable.
Kit Kat originally closed in March, when the pandemic was declared, with plans to re-open.
