“The name change is reflective of the changing world of publishing and speaks to our evolving mandate as a communications company,” said Rosanna Caira, Kostuch’s editor and publisher, upon announcing the news at a recent Toronto event. “As consumers we now look to a multitude of distribution channels to provide us with up-to-the-minute information, and we continue to be seduced by all things digital.”
That doesn’t mean the company won’t still focus on its magazines, but, its leaders have added more digital features and events to the mix to complement the print product and leverage partnerships that will boost the brand’s overall appeal.
“We will…boast new divisions and new partnerships, including Chicago-based Technomic Inc. and Lyon, France-based CHD Expert, the leading hospitality database management company in 14 countries,” said Caira. “[Kostuch Media Ltd.] will become the most comprehensive source of information on the foodservice and hospitality industry.
