Krispy Kreme Burger Invades CNE

TORONTO — Krispy Kreme doughnut cheeseburgers may be one of the star attractions at Toronto’s renowned Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) this year.

The snack, from Epic Burgers and Waffles in Toronto, is comprised of lean-ground burger patties topped with American cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, egg and bacon sandwiched between two original glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

The Toronto foodservice purveyor was also behind The Behemoth Burger, which debuted at the CNE last year. The company has been bringing its innovations to fairs across North America for years.

The classic Krispy Kreme burger, without the egg and bacon, rings in at $8 and contains 1,500 calories, according to The Toronto Star.

The Toronto fair runs from Aug. 19 to Sept. 5.
