Kuterra’s Land-raised Atlantic Salmon Receives Top Eco-ranking

VANCOUVER — Kuterra, which produces land-raised Atlantic salmon, has achieved the top sustainability ranking issued by the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch, a Calif.-based independent eco-ranking program.

“We are delighted the third-party assessment conducted by the Monterey Bay Aquarium has validated Kuterra operations as one of the most sustainable Atlantic salmon aquaculture operations globally,” said Garry Ullstrom, CEO, Kuterra. “Environmental sustainability is the goal at the heart of Kuterra’s mission, and this ranking shows we’re achieving that.”

The Monterey Bay Aquarium assessment examined three facilities operating globally in B.C., West Virginia and Denmark. The three farms are considered representative of current practices and earned the ranking.

Kuterra Land-raised Atlantic salmon is available in B.C. And Alberta. It’s served at select restaurants.
