La Carnita Opens First U.S. Location

TORONTO — Monarch & Misfits Inc. has launched the first U.S. location of its La Carnita chain at the Baltimore Washington International Airport.

The new location features a customized breakfast menu to meet the needs of business and casual travellers. The restaurant’s menu also features Mexican street food with a Gringo twist, including ceviche, ribs, empanadas, tacos, paletas and churros — all made in house.

“I would personally like to congratulate our franchisee Larry Isaacs of Slip Hospitality, as well as the Monarch & Misfits’ team on this exciting achievement,” say Jeff Young, chief Development officer, Monarch & Misfits. “We are truly delighted to bring La Carnita to foodies in the community.”

La Carnita opened its first location in downtown Toronto in 2013 and has quickly expanded its presence. To date, the company has awarded franchises in Canada, the United States and Dubai.
