Beloved Toronto restaurant, La Société, closed its doors Dec. 31, 2019. The award-winning French bistro opened in June 2011.
The restaurant had become well-known for its stunning stained-glass murals that covered its ceilings and its French fare, including dishes such as Confit de Canard ($34), Bourguignon de Boeuf ($36) and Thon Poêlè ($34).
The restaurant had also been a popular brunch spot, serving up staples such as Bénédicte au Saumon Fumé ($19), Bénédicte au Jambon Parisien ($18) and Croque Madame ($20).
The restaurant offered a special NYE menu as a parting gift to its customers.
