L’essentiel de Chartier Recognized at Gourmand World Cookbook Awards

MOTNREAL — Quebec author and sommelier, François Chartier has won the Best Cookbook in the World – Innovation Category title awarded at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2016, for his book L’essentiel de Chartier – L’ABC des harmonies aromatiques à table et en cuisine.

The book previously received the title of Best Cookbook in Canada in 2015.

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards were given out in China during the world finale’s gala last week. The international competition recognized one winner per category from a selection of 209 candidates.

Chartier won the same title in 2010 with his reference book Papilles et Molécules, as well as Best Wine and Food Harmonies Books in the World for his Papilles pour tous book collection in 2013.
